New U.S. Rules: Grading Delays? Here’s Our Plan
U.S. Tariffs Just Shook the Grading World
-Here's What It Means for BAMI Collectors
Posted by BAMI Crew
What Just Happened in the U.S.?
This April, the U.S. introduced new international tariffs impacting shipping, including packages headed to and from major grading facilities especially PSA (Professional Sports Authenticator).
As a result, grading giants like PSA, Beckett, and CGC are facing higher costs on incoming and outgoing submissions for non-U.S. clients. While these companies haven’t publicly blasted the sirens, behind the scenes... adjustments are being made. Bulk pricing, return logistics, and turnaround windows are all part of the game now.
Why You Should Care as a Collector in Saudi Arabia & GCC
If you're grading through BAMI, here’s how the ripple might affect your treasures:
- PSA may increase fees for international submissions in response to these tariff changes
- Turnaround times could fluctuate as carriers adjust customs processing
- Your slabs may take slightly longer to return — but don't worry, we’ve got systems in place
BAMI’s Battle Plan
Your slabs are sacred, and we don’t leave treasure behind. Here’s how BAMI is countering the wave:
- We’re in close contact with PSA, Beckett, and CGC to maintain GCC-friendly rates and timelines
- We’re launching a public grading calendar and batch tracker so you know exactly where your card is
- New bundle submissions are in the works: bigger batches = more rewards even if tariffs rise
